Robin Bectel is a strategic marketing and communications professional with more than 15 years experience in the high-technology industry. Most recently, Bectel has worked extensively with clean energy companies. She joins New Venture Communications after serving as the director of communications for the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), where she promoted policies and programs relating to energy efficiency, clean and renewable energy.  

She served on the speaker selection panel for the US Green Building Council's greenbuild conference, as well as on several committees for the Alliance to Save Energy, including its program committee for the Global Forum on Energy Efficiency. She was also a member of the International Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) and has authored numerous articles on the need for sound energy policy and on "greenwashing."  Prior to NAIMA, Bectel served as director of communications for a telecommunications software company and as group vice president at Shandwick International in the Washington, DC and Silicon Valley offices. 

Bectel received her Masters of Arts in communications management from the Annenberg School for Communications at the University of Southern California. She graduated cum laude with a B.A. in speech communications from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
